Whats the cauae of uneven tire wear

Is uneven tire wear around the tire due to bad alignment or bad struts/shocks? It's not wear due to camber. The tire is rocky, Im noticing it on the front tires mainly to the point where they're making loud road noise. And even more so during braking and causes the steering to shake a tad bit.

It could be everything you mentioned and add wheel bearings, worn bushings, bad balance, etc........

On my E46, it was worn control arm bushings.

Check your alignment I would highly suspect the toe being out of spec. If everything checks out then you can start checking the suspension for worn items.

There are a handful of reasons to bad tire wear. But from what you are describing about the shaking during braking, it could be a bad wheel bearing & warped rotors at the same time. Bad wheel bearing which is causing the out of spec alignement and the warped rotors to cause the shake.

Ive had the same problem...changed all 4 tires smooth ride no more loud road noise but I'm worrying that my new tires won't get uneven...do i need to get an alignment?

Friction causes wear, uneven wear is caused by uneven friction. Most likely it's excessive toe, either from alignment or worn components.

I do a lot of track alignments, and toe causes much more wear than camber, since it causes friction. Excess camber increases load, but not friction

You would have to get an alignment to make sure its all in spec and you should be good.
