Does MusicarNW modify the Morel MX22 Crossover?

I'm just asking for general information, not specific. I have a MusicarNW stage 2 set of Morel Ovation II with MT23 tweeters and supposedly upgraded MX22 crossovers. I am selling this set and just want to supply the advantages of this set over an out of the box set. I know the MT23 tweeters are a huge advantage. The Crossover, I'm not so sure of.

I doubt it. If the crossovers are engineered by one company, I doubt another company would try to modify them and resell them. At least without permission. Secondly, the engineering in a crossover and the components it is designed for are probably pretty special, to modify them without possibly damaging the existing components AND producing a better result would be a big project and I doubt there would be much return on investment.

I understand what you are saying, I guess I should have worded my question differently. I have a set of Morel Ovation II's from MusicarNW Stage 2 kit. This set has MT-23 tweeters instead of the MT-22's that would normally come with them. I was also told that the MX-22 crossovers were upgraded too. I know there were MX-22.2 and MX-22.2e crossovers, but as far as I can tell, they are both marked MX-22 also. MusicarNW could have supplied either one of those crossovers. That is what I am really looking to find out. I hope that adds more clarity.

After doing more research, I found out that these Morel Crossovers are an upgrade. They are the MX-22.2e Crossovers with the dual amp option and power handling of 280W instead of only 200W of the MX-22 crossover.

That makes sense, if they upgraded any of the drivers from the normal kit, they might upgrade the crossover, and not marking components clearly, especially the crossovers, does seem to be an industry-wide problem.

From my research, you are certainly right about a poor marking problem. Without knowing the physical changes, you had no way of telling what you had. The normal crossover for a set would have been a MX-22.4 for a 4" set, MX-22.5 for a 5.25" set and MX-22.6 for a 6.5" set. There was a MX-22.2 Single amp and MX-22.2e dual amp capable and can handle 80W more power. Every one of them are marker MX 22. So for those that buy used, do your homework. I was extremely lucky with the set I have with the MT-23 tweeters too. Both the crossovers and the tweeters retail for over $350 each set, this set probably sold for $1000-$1200, but since I have them listed on the board and eBay for half, someone else could get a really nice set of door speakers. With the Technic adapters (included), they fit nicely in an e93, so no problem with the rest of the 1 and 3 series.
