Should I get a E90 or a E92

I like both and I test drove a E90 2010 BMW 335i automatic... And it blew me away. But then again I don't drive much people around in the car I have now. Help?

I'm 6' 3" and do not fit comfortably in the back of an E92.. It all really depends on personal preference, what do you see yourself in? I personally have never owned anything but sedans and SUVs

I can see myself in both but the deciding factor is car insurance prices, with a coupe I have to pay more for insurance with the sedan the insurance goes up but not as much as a coupe would. Just to give you guys am idea I drive a 2002 Toyota Corolla right now and it's just a plain car. I am looking to join the BMW family and have an awesome looking car with lots of power to drive around and be proud of what I am driving.

If you are indifferent, you should get the coupe. If something -- price, location, etc. -- gives you a better reason to get the sedan, then that's the one to get. As goes driving, the same car as a coupe won't drive any different than it will as a sedan; that's long been one aspect of BMWs that makes it really just your choice as to which one you get.

As for the rear room in the coupe, adults up to six feet tall can sit back there comfortably, and they can be taller if the folks up front are shorter than average.

You could probably sit back there at six feet tall, but GETTING into the back is always an adventure.. at least for me and I'm 6'1" ...

Thank you for your input Tony it's much appreciated, since I am new to BMW cars and the whole scene in general. If price is an issue would a 2008 BMW (E90 or E92) 335i be a good choice for me?

A 328 is a better choice than a 335, for it's a more reliable car, and it's more than fast enough for anything you'll do safely on public roads. The 335 is fine, but it has the HPFP history and turbo wastegate issue, so if you aren't getting it as a CPO from a BMW dealer, better to go with the 328. Even if you are getting it CPO from a BMW dealer, the 328 still less risk involved.

Though I have a 335, the only reason I have it instead of a 328 is because the dealer had the 335 with a red interior on the lot the day I went to buy it, and I bought it new and paid cash. If you financial position is similarly strong like mine, get whichever one you want. I'm not going to try to mislead you; BMWs are expensive to fix if something needs fixing. That said, aside from the things I mentioned, I don't have a reason to think things will break. FWIW, I bought 328s for my cousin, my son and my daughter.

If price is an issue, the sedan will be less expensive.

I am going for the 335i no matter what. I also like red leather I don't know why but it looks very appealing.

By this logic a Honda Civic is a better choice than both.

I never understand when I hear of people doing this. Its a major purchase thats going to be with you for years and people buy it because its what the dealer has in stock that day? I had such specific specs for my car that i flew to Boston to get it and drove it back to Atlanta. Harder to find your specs CPO than new

I just have a thing for blue BMWs (thus the sig). I had a Topaz Blue e46 M3 before my Montego e90.

Coupes looks sexier in my opinion, but they usually cost more to buy (I'm talking about used) and less practical than a 4 door sedan.

E90!! (biased opinion) I love sedans, especially the 3 series they're mature yet sporty.

U already said u dont really hv passengers in your car often... And the diff in insurance from sed to coupe is negligible.

This is a no brainer, you're getting a 335 coupe, w coral red interior... Don't forget the msport package!!!

Lol true that! This decision is NOT easy my friend! Trust me! Lol. Well I have a year to save up money and decide but red coral leather is a MUST for my personal Bimmer! I love the color of it! How big of a difference in price for insurance is it really? Some figures would be great!

If you don't drive around with more than one person you might as well get the coupe. Banging in the back is entirely possible for two 6' fit adults, just gotta leave the passenger seat tilted forward.
