D-tech, Lux, or Angel-i-brights? Which Angel eyes should I get??

I'm getting AE's this week, which ones are the best and why??

The all look pretty good in picture, but personally what are the pro's and con's of each model?

Lux - look good, really like the fact that they are available in 5000-6000k and "teeth white" (my preference). But I heard they are instant off/on - no fade, flicker sometimes on start-up, and run at full power all the time.

D-Tech - Looks just as good as lux in pictures, but cheaper and fade. They look crisp white in pics, but I just don't like the fact that they are rated at 7000k. 7000k to me is blue? Blue reminds me of the bar e90post.com at the top of the screen . Are they "white" or got some of that blue in em?

Angel-i-brites - Heard they are a bitch to install and have that hint of blue, and basically will not work on Pre-LCI '07 models (which I have)...

And whatever else model you would like to throw in...

LUX is great, I had them for almost exactly a year and something went wrong and LUX happily warrantied them and shipped them back to me. Great customer service from LUX!!!

OP, are you only open to those 3? There are more such as m-tech and the $70 bmwled ones that some people have seemed to get good results. Just throwing out other options...

That is for the e90 sedans, not the E92 coupes.

This thread has been talked about thousand of times so try and do a little searching. as everyone will say you get what you pay for.

My $.02 is to be careful with the no name cheep lights out there. They are designed to dim to around 1/3 brightness with the headlights on, will cause EMI, and are not fused for protection at all. If something happens with these they could short out, overheat or cause other major damage. Just fair warning.

I think all LEDs replacement bulbs suck. They are barely visible during the day. I even saw lux, and was disappointed. Imagine how the stock bulbs look (dimmed) when the main headlights are on. That's how it looks during the day with a white/blue color.

I agree. For some reason, the stock AEs, though yellow, are the brightest I have seen. Only brighter ones are the LED replacements and the new AEs.

Just curious but as compared to what? Yes there are other brands of no-name knock offs out there, but they are use poor electronics that could be very dangerous

Agreed.....IMO LED replacement bulbs just don't seem to get the job done on an e92. You barely see them in day light and at night the inner and outer rings are not lit evenly.

You get what you pay for as all bulb are not created equal. But, for me, the only way to get the look I wanted was to go with OSS.

LEDs are directional while the halogen bulb floods. I think thats why the halogen bulbs seem brighter during the day. I recently just ordered the GP Thunder H8s for now. I just need to find someone to code my car to not dim them when the xenons turn on and i think ill be all set. Does anyone know of cornering lights for the e90 that will match the gp thunder 7500k?

Yep, I wasted 250 bux on Lux and they didn't even work right. Best is to go OSS or something along that line in the first place.

Don't forget the HPB Angel Eyes. Best bang for the buck Angel Eye. Plug and Play. We've sold a bunch.

Folks need to remember you can only get so much out of traditional angel eye that is plug and play. If that is not good enough you need to go custom which costs several hundred.

Best I've seen in person are lux and hpb. For the money the hpb are worth it.
The lux may technically be brighter if at all but they are significantly more money.
Just my 2 cents.

Op if you have a 2007 a lot of lighting components will give you trouble. You should get your car coded.
