Goodbye BMW! Hello..... - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

My 2006 325i has treated me SO well for the past 6 years, it was really hard to see her go... I didn't stray far from home though (so-to-speak). I stayed German as much as possible by purchasing a 2012 "Tornado Red" 2 door Volkswagen Golf-R w/sunroof and navigation. I will post pictures after I get it TOMORROW!!!

I will however, try to stay off of the forums with the Golf-R because we all know the pressures of modding!!!

Came from the VW side so I approve ( not that it matters ) VW & BMW I feel have the biggest following and aftermarket of the Euro's well Audi too but I lump them under the VW umbrella..

Congrats on the Golf R, looks great. My wife has a lowered and tuned GTI that we are selling. She wants all wheel drive, and almost pulled the trigger on a new Golf R, but instead she ordered a new X1. She's going to miss the GTI, hell of a car...but with the Golf she was looking at 10 years of driving GTIs. I'd have chose the Golf over the X1. oh well.

I'll keep my eyes peeled for that red Golf when i'm driving around the south sound.

let me know a time and place! maybe we can meet up and talk cars! (Possibly create a Olympia BMW/VW/Euro car meet) There's not much of a VW meet around here anyways...

That would be fun. The VW community seems more tight knit than the bimmer community. I always get nods when driving the wifes car. I can count on one hand the number I've gotten from other Bimmer drivers while in my car. Might have to do it before we get rid of the wifes GTI. There are some great windy roads up in Capital forest that we could flog the cars around before summer comes to a screeching halt.
