1/4 times are only good for a drag strip. 30-100 times would be even better if were talking 'real world quick'

Saying that, not everyone can time themselves hence why I said BHP. As most people who upgrade on power will inevitably get on a dyno, to check what the upgrade has actually done!

Dyno to dyno and even on the same dyno you'll get differing results. Adding more HP/TQ will mean upgrades in other areas too.

Hey 2deerwhistlers, was looking forward to seeing your comparison of the Ecotune vs Megaspeed. Did you post the dyno results somewhere yet?

I agree with Greekboy on the quarter mile being the better indicator of what kind of power the car can put down to the ground. Especially a real sanctioned flat track with calibrated timing equipment and verifiable density altitude and weather conditions so no funny business can be injected into the debate...

Comparing dyno numbers between cars not on the same dyno or even country has to be the most futile practice available to the auto industry. 1/4 mile times can be tough to compare also, but its a heck of a lot more accurate than a dyno comparison. In addition to that, everyone from europe is going to post numbers way higher than the US because they use some crazy assumption of drivetrain loss try and come up with a crank number.

Wow. You should be running sub 12 secs easily just from that tune.

Yes, was planning on getting the aquamist kit as to me it looks like the best made one of them all. I'm just unsure how it would be connected up.. I know they have a piggyback loom for the 335i but I think it may be a different case with the d.. I'll try and call them tomorrow and see what they think!

That dyno is pretty old aswell, SHOULD be pushing slightly more power now aswell. I'll try and get a thread started at some point about my car. This thread was just meant to be a place for people to throw up their 1:4 times or dynos!

IF you assume that the UK dynos posted so far are accurate thats not out of line. That equates to about 420 HP on what the UK guys are going to show

Let's get some more 11 second diesels into the mix. You'll need something around 500 hp type of capability to achieve this with the weight of the car.
