New V-715 shoes from Jlevi SW.

My new wheels have landed. I ordered from Nick at Jlevi SW in California on the 19th July. Arrived into customs in Sydney on the 23rd. Will take 3 or 4 days to clear customs and be delivered to my door.

After making enquiries with three vendors in the US, I went with Nick because

a) his replies were fast - usually minutes - not days.
b) he was courteous - I asked lots of questions.
c) the price was right - very competitive shipping.
d) lots of positive feedback on e90 post.
e) he accepted my credit card payment - everyone else insisted on wire transfer or cash via paypal. No one else would take credit card (the only thing that affords a bit of protection if something goes wrong and on which I could get a better exchange rate.)

I'll post the pics when they get delivered. In the meantime, I can highly recommend you talk to Nick if you are intending buying from the US.

Your right Astra - but i haven't had to wait long - 4 days between order placement and delivery into Sydney. Thats impressive IMO. It will probably take longer than that to get them through customs.

They have cleared customs - advised delivery should be Wednesday. Best part (unless someone figures it out) is they invoiced me for delivery $61. No other charges - no customs duty, no gst, no clearance costs. I didn't argue - couldn't get my credit card out fast enough. The airfreight was only $US250 as well - had a quote elsewhere for $US500. My tyre guy ordered the tyres last week - ready to go as soon as the wheels get here

KW rang to say the coilovers left Germany yesterday - should have them in a week. After that, wallet needs to cool down for a while.................

I'm not worried - I budgeted for these costs but won't complain if I miss out.

good thing is, it still cost me less to import the parts i bought, and pay all the bs taxes, then it would of to buy them locally

Haha, i know how that goes! The tax regime here in Australia could do with some updating. Everyone needs to come to terms with the idea that Holden & Ford will die off quickly, then we can drop some of these import taxes and all will be good.

Hopefully noone from the ATO reads these forums, here is a little secret:
If you are important classic cars, or parts for classic cars there are no duties payable on anything brought into Australia. You pay for the parts and shipping and thats it. If you know anyone that brings in classic car parts, slip your parts into one of their crates and you will be able to sneak them in no sweat

Once again, if anyone from the ATO is reading this my name is Juan Sanchez and i live in Mexico :eeps:

Well - delivered today - no further costs!

Happy - you betcha.

11 days door to door!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks again to the guys at JleviSW.com. Very impressed with your service and for making the purchase straightforward.

BTW - Baxglobal handled the shipping. They have offices in Sydney so the whole process was easy. No need for a customs agent etc. They handled everything from pickup in the US to delivery to my door.
