I for one as a n52 owner welcome new performance upgrades BUT I don't hold my breath nether. Just accept the fact your n52 is a solid reliable motor and there are pretty decent and credible options out there, ie BMW Performance bolt-ons and AA tune. It seems silly to hold out and remain wishful for anything more; you're just setting yourself up for disappointment. Furthermore I bet most of you wouldn't even bother buying anything even if MWW came out with something like headers or a sc kit. Why?

a) you've read a thread from credible sources how catless headers on the n52 didn't yield significant improvement over stock (can't find the link but there was once a n52 race car build thread where the owner mentioned their testing showed catless headers didn't yield enough gains to justify the cost)

b) even if there is a header option, most of you will not want to bother with a hack job of an install.

c) if it is bolt-on, go back to point A and weigh the cost and you then still have to worry about CEL, passing SMOG, etc.

d) Supersprint already offers SS catless headers!

e) in the case of a SC kit, we saw how ARMA turned out and seeing how MWW hasn't really won anyone over with tangible/proven/positive updates or results, would you really want to spend $x,xxx hoping "this time it'll be different?"

Seriously, $400 and 10-12hp gain for a n/a motor by a reputable tuner was huge in my books. To expect or want anything more with perfect fitment, no longevity issues, and long-term customer support is really reaching imo.

Is this thread really necessary?

It is getting annoying with creating numerous theads to back MMW. Why not just add it to existing threads.

Do you have headers on order jwise?

Is this thread necessary: in short no, i guess not but i was hoping to catch Gavins attention.

I do not have headers on order because i wanted to wait and see what results they would yield (if any) but the sc kit is a different story in my books. Im not legible to trade up to a 335 and if the kit ended up running me 7,000 with installation i would most definitely consider it.

posted this in other thread but ill post again here ...shipping numbers went out 3 weeks ago almost 4 now... headers would be here by now i have held my opinion in long enough ebcause i talked to gavin several times and he seemed like a decent enough guy but for anyone to think at this point their headers will be delivered is nuts... 10 people at 800 each is 8k in his pocket the group buy was one week he extended it for a month and a half.... they were supposed to be done 6 months ago .. from the once a month update we get it seems they have been in the ceramic coating process for 3 months.. as a business owner and product developer you would switch who you would use.. at this point to see anyone believe the product they ordered 8 months ago now is going to be at their doorstep is beyond crazy... not flaming anyone here but lets all use our common sense and realize the facts it was the same excuse over and over again .. the supercharger which i dont care about was in testing of summer lest year.. according to him.. yet he just put it on and was working on tuning 2 months ago and our update was supposed to come in a week.. since then not a word.. not that has anything to do with this but get the facts straight after 60 days paypal wont refund your money and he can disappear and that will be the end he isnt a sponsor on the forums so they hold no liability and the longer he drags it out without legal action the better of a chance he will get away with it! rant over.

that race team said supersprint wasn't worth the cost so they cut out cats from the stock header. That seems to be the best option if you can get a quality shop to do the work.

lol I predicted that fail a year ago...

I really hope that the buyers will get together and make themself heard. They should be refunded + compensated for the time loss + interest on the loan. (yes, a loan.)

dam I didn't realize he could get away with this after 60 days, he probably planned this from the beginning and ended up getting a free set of custom headers and supercharger for his car with all the buyer's money

lol.. This is the same scenario with the pre-LCI stock bumper front lip. I was one of the first ones to put down $350 for the lip, and all I did was wait and wait and wait for months after every single apology.. I ended up just getting an m3 rep bump and the only (if you can even classify this as positive) thing that seemed okay was the fact that when I asked for a refund, he gave it to me, after he delayed it of course cause he was busy cause he got in a "car accident", whether or not that was true or just more lip service is another discussion lol. I understand it takes time to develop something, but don't give empty promises and apologizes over and over for not meeting supposed "deadlines". It's better to just state the truth, and say an item isn't remotely close to ready, instead of just saying its coming while not providing updates, or any reasonable assurance, and completely ruining your reputation. To those waiting on anything thats MMW.. good luck hahaha.
