I'm not talking about how much room the tire takes though, I'm talking about how much room the rim takes. Personally I'm low enough that my tires tuck anyway. If I was to go for 18s instead of 19s I would have to lower my car to have my fender the same distance from the rim.

That's my point, With 19's people aim to be flush from fender to wheel, with 18''s u can stretch, poke, and aim for the fender to be flush with the corner of the tire, not the wheel and still look good.

When you have that kind of money to throw around (assumption), things like this don't really matter.

I'm pretty sure his car is worth less than 100k. Not necessarily throwing around money considering the price of the GTR is most likely more..

You should just make a thread documenting the transformation of your car. I'm talking like 100+ pictures of when you first got the car to now. I'm more than sure it would be front page Bimmerpost worthy.

Well done... hats off!
Kriston,
I don't think I will get rid of them E88s. To me this set looks even better than those FI...personal preference I guess. Last rear setup...which a lot of people hated...well I thought it was cool to try something different and I enjoyed it while I had it on my car, now that bumper is refinished by LTMW to go on some other member's E90...from what I saw today...looks very promising.
Thanks!

I love those wheels, but in only 18"s they look small due to the massive double lip... makes them look like 16" wheels... IMO 19s like that would look 10x better.

Nice ride.
Honestly, I wasn't going for Stanced? look...I wanted function & form...I think I got that with this setup...but I really don't mind 19s with hellaflush, slammed look either.

I'd love to have a GTR. But it wasn't LTNISSAN or LT Motorwerks back then
Now they changed name to LTMW (LT Motorwerks) maybe...

It is definitely worth less than 100K...but I spent over 100K...some might think this is stupid thing to do but for me it was all worth every single penny.

Haha trust me, I am not a super rich person who can just go out and buy $100K car...oh no hell no. I have other priorities than cars. Plus It took me 3 years...going into 4th year to build this car, people telling me "you shoulda bought GTR."...doesn't really make sense to me. This is just a hobby, project whatever you call it. If I can just go out and buy fully modded GTR then what's so fun about it? Trial & error, success & failure, all this mixed up together and makes that much fun to mod car. I am glad I took 3~4 years build this car with help from LTBMW/LTMW, I appreciate it that much more and it is quite amazing that this car still puts big smile on my face everyday. When the time is right, sure I would love to get into GTR or other fast cars and again mod it with passion.

I think that is a great great idea. Not sure about front page Bimmerpost worthy but it will be a nice memorable thread for me at least. I will do that once I finish my new rear setup...thanks for the great idea

Great job Darren, you really have been an inspiration up until this point. That gray has really grown on me since your last respray. I would love to see some Rotiforms on this car, though.
