Where's the DMTL?

Hope someone can help out here. I'm getting code 2A13 DMTL diagnosis module tank leakage, leakage diagnosis pump, input signal.

The standard advice online is to replace the DMTL.... So I bought one, but I can't find it. Everyone suggests its under the cover on the left side (335i) behind the rear tyre.

It should look like this when in situ:

...and this when out:

... but this is mine, which is just a charcoal canister and doesn't have a DMTL attached:

So it looks like one of these:

Any advice greatly appreciated. I just need to know where the thing is located - I've looked everywhere.

The car is a December 2006, delivered Feb 2007.

Cheers,

Coupes it's behind the drivers(left in USA) wheel I think. It's on the other side for sedans, again, I think not 100%

We do not have this device on our aus cars. The code is from using a USA flash file on an Australian car.

Ah, thanks. I've got a BMS flash. Is there any way around this?
