Question warranty question

I've got a 08 135i with 74k on the clock..I got it 6-7 months ago now. Not a single issue, had it at two BMW shops (first checkout when I bought it, and now an oil change) and everyone says it's solid.

I am wondering if I should keep my 4 year 48k after market warranty ... or just pocket the cash of what's left (about 2300$)...what do you guys think? Will I possibly foresee 2300 worth of problems in the next few years, or should I just pocket it?

Depends on what you expect to do with your car. Extended warranties can help out a lot. However, if you plan on doing modifications which you are not willing to take out before going to the dealer for repairs, then I would not bother with an extended warranty.

I won't be modding, I am just curious if I should pocket the 2000 or so bucks, or keep it just in case? I mean, what would really cost that much?

I can see a engine/tranny replacement, but they seem rock solid.

If I was not modding the car, I'd probably go for some kind of extended warranty. Who knows what might go out, and, over the course of a few years, $2300 could surely add up (at least in labor). I know it definitely did within a year of owning my 540i out of warranty, and that is a non turbo car!

What typically could fail on it you think? And roughly about what would it cost?

If you cancel the warranty, you will have problems the day after. Don't jinx yourself.

Uhm, turbos
Water pump
Wheel bearings
Battery
Coils
Fuel injectors
HPFP (some are recall but not all)
LPFP
Fuel pressure regulator

Let's just say I've replaced half of these in a year in a half I've had the car with 45k miles
