damn, $495 for an initial exterior detail though. I mean yea, if you have the money and no time, but a saturday of my time def beats paying that much money. And that's not even including the interior detail which you can do waiting for the wax to dry. in between coats. Im sure they do a good job, but that's def a different level of clients.

The worst part I just read is it's a young guy with only 4 years experience.

Total car appearance center in Boca Raton, FL. They did full exterior and interior for $120. Guy has been detailing his whole life.

I'll be the first to bite, I personally met Dominique awhile back at a meet. He probably doesn't/won't even remember me. But what I can tell you is that he does a dam good detail. He had or still has a Jerez Black colored M3, and if you saw it in person you wouldn't believe how immaculate it is.

But you are right, it is for a different level of clients, but it's also for a totally different "detail" as well. I just don't think it was right of you to say he's a young guy with only 4 years experience. I suggest you check out the cars he's done. No mickey mouse shit dude.

Hey now, I'm not saying he's a good guy and takes pride in his work. It's more like for me, if your going to charge that much for a detail, you should have some good experience and maybe an award or something. I mean look at the one e90company posts saying $120 for a full interior and exterior. I mean even if they didn't use top tier products, you could get the car detailed 4 times before it would equal one of the other details.

A detail will only last a couple months at most, especially with the florida rain. I've used zaino products also, so it's not like I use garbage.

So calm down, i'm not saying he's a bad guy, I'm just saying that's not in my price range. Just like a brand new 3 series is not in my price range. A used one, yes. I guess it's more my fault that I forget what community I'm in here lol.

Is $500 a lot for a guy that drives an M3? Lol.. Dominic earned his money by spending 16 hrs on my previous M (from 8 am to 12:00 am) and he did an amazing job.

If you had any idea what is entailed in paint correction you would not have a problem paying that. I am not convinced that 120 is more than a wash a quick polish and some glaze to hide the swirls/RIDS/etc.

Also a good detail lasts more than 2 months, I detailed mine in May (18 hours for a 2 step correction) and water still beads and the paint is still glossy, on a car that is never garaged in Miami's horrible spring/summer weather.
