Apple iOS6
Just wondering if anybody here has updated it last night / this morning?
Desperate to do it but not getting time for that. Any verdict on iOS6 changes? What you liked and what can be improved?

maps on the iPad in 3D is legit! needs more cities though...other than that, meh

I did, lots of weird visual things added that I fail to understand...
Changing the keypad colour, adding the little bouncy thing when you 'pull to refresh' The above is just an observation, I have no issue with it. I just didn't expect Apple to add/change things like that and thought they would maintain their simplistic approach. I do like the Do Not Disturb and Reject text features though. Not really fussed about the maps, the car has CIC  |

Panoramic feature seems to work well too! At least not like the old Sony Cybershot cameras that were low MP and used video to stitch images!!
Loads of places missing on the maps apparently!  |

Dial keypad and Music menus are definitely meh-worthy.
Glad they went through the trouble to bland it up.

At the danger of risking the wrath of all the Apple fanboys I have to say Apple seem to have lost their way a bit lately. IOS6 is meh and IMO so is the Iphone5. They've gone from being a rather innovative company to almost just being one of the crowd, the Iphone 5 being a perfect example of them just playing catch up than leading the way.

I apologise in advance to any Liverpudlians...
My Scouse mate just got a trampoline for his kids off the internet. I asked him what website he saw it on and he replied "Google Maps, Street View"!
Admittedly he must have done this before before upgrading to iOS6  |

I updated mine, not much has changed. Looks a little different, seems to run every so slightly faster, battery life the same if not slightly better on the 4s.
Auto brightness seems to be working better but maps is utter crap. Missing a whole bunch of tube stations, buildings, popular high street shops. It's truly terrible. |

me too. totally not looking forward to loosing google maps. its one of the best bits and the new map app looks pants - is it?

I updated last night, had a look around this morning, it's buggy tbh, it took 6 reboots to get it to accept the password on my airport app so I could actually access my airport, time capsule and airport express !!
The camera button next to the swipe to unlock took several reboots to actually stay there Safari is alittle quicker, nothing to write home about The app store looks better, as do the menus - alittle fresher and more rounded A couple of nice little extra buttons, the do not disturb button being my favourite The different vibrating settings are a nice little touch As for the rest of the other hundred and something improvements ..... Tbh ..... dunno, doesn't seem much different I'll not bother updating my person iPhone, or iPad, 5.1.1 jailbroken ..... It's not that impressive Sadly, I won't have an option for my iPhone 5 tomorrow, annoyling enough

....Ohh and the maps ain't shit ..... Google maps was better
The turn by turn directions are good though

Just updated mine.
Not impressed at all. Few minor changes and as earlier said, Apple is lost with the future of iphone + iOS!

It screwed up my '4' but once I've manually added all my Apps back we'll be laughing.
IMO, it's 'fine', I really don't ecxpect too much if I'm honest, but guess the little touches will provde useful over time. Not rushing down to the shop to get an iphone5, think I'm getting too old to be arsed (sad I know for a gadget junkie) but franky I've not really seen anything that will make me rush out. So, fucked my '4' up, but an excuse to actually get rid of all the shite and start again. Maybe I should be thanking Apple?!?!?
