Unhappy Always get Engine Malfunction HELP!

Whenever I speed and push the car (6k+ rpm), I often (1/5 times) get the malfunction light, and when I restart the car it goes away. Could it be the fuel pump?

I also recently got it chipped, and it started happening more often on Map 1 with jb4.

What could I do? I ran out of warranty, but since the fuel pump is a recall, can they replace it for free? and should i delete the codes from the jb4 since that may void warranty?

Thanks.

It could be a fuel pump or a list of other things like spark plugs. And yes you should definitely erase the codes. Try going to an independent shop first to see if it's a fuel pump. At least you can save on the cost of diagnosing if it ends up not being a fuel pump issue.

Could also be your spark plugs and/or ignition coils. I'm sure you're having multiple misfires. Check out the sticky under the N54 section. Also, do a search for the codes to find a solution.

Need to pull the codes on the car to see what is wrong with it. I know people that posted are trying to help but it's too general to say plugs, coils, fuel pump etc. It can be a host of many other things. So before you start going crazy goto a Autozone and have them read the codes registered in the DME and then post it here.

Same thing here, it happened around 4-6k rpms and was a vacuum leak in the boost system, turned out to be a cracked plastic nipple on a hose from the wastegate, $2 part.
