Burning the American flag appears to be bad for one's health.

A protester in Lahore, Pakistan has died after inhaling the fumes from the American flags he burned on Sunday. Abdullah Ismail was part of a demonstration protesting the Islam-trolling film "The Innocence of Muslims" in front of the U.S. Embassy. According to his fellow protesters, Ismail "complained of feeling unwell from [breathing] the smoke" of the burning American flags and was transported to Lahore's Mayo Hospital where he later died.

As we all know, if some western infidel sustained any injury or death in the process of burning a Koran on the sidewalk, and the Pakistani public heard of it, they would NEVER rejoice in the suffering of others. In fact, if one of them dared to make light of it, they would be immediately silenced by their embarrased countrymen.

I mean really, it's not as if he cashed in his chips on the way to the blood donor clinic, or buying groceries for his ill mother, or volunteering at their local SPCA or something....

No body is "cheering" anyone's death. We are merely amused by the irony of this person's demise. If this person was Canadian, Italian, English or several other nationalities this thread may not exist or would likely have another sentiment.

But when the individual who died in this fashion has an agenda to use the very freedoms provided by Americans, to destroy Americas way of life; some of us have a hard time showing empathy.

I found the news to be funny.

Here's a guy who probably would be delighted to see every American and their families beheaded one by one, and yet he's the one who dies of his very own hand and hatred.

Ironic indeed. There is a God.

It was probably one of those polyester flags. The dark smoke (basically burnt oil) should have been a hint that the smoke was deadly. But these guys often have the education of a 5 year old so he probably was completely clueless.
