07 328i Muffler Delete

**New Option- Whats the most aggressive exhaust set up?? Just want to explore my options and compare price vs sound. Not really anticipating any performance gains.**

Getting ready to go to the muffler shop on Tuesday to get my muffler done and had a few last minuete thoughts.
What are the pros an cons of doing this mod?
Is there anything else i should do instead of muffler delete with new tips?
Should i cut the resonator off too?
Im still under warranty...... Wonder how it affects it, Im under warranty till 100k.
Any thoughts would be a big help!!!Thanks

They won't service your car for any emissions based issues. Also if things like an O2 sensor fails they can blame it on that and not replace it. There are probably other issues too but I'll let someone with more knowledge on this chime in.

I figured as much with the O2 sensor, I am curious on what other issues they could try to blame of doing this mod, are you happy with the BMW PE I thought about going that route but wasn't to sure, really dont want to make an expensive decision from a youtube clip.

Not sure but you might also fail state inspection. And yes I'm very happy with my exhaust. The gains aren't crazy but the car sounds like it means business.

Thats all I'm expecting is a more agressive sound than the stock. Dont expect any power gains from this car

MD should not affect anything warranty-wise (unless your dealer is a d!ck), nor would you fail state inspection due to it. Do NOT also take the res off, I have done it and it is way way way too loud. MD sounds nice.. enjoy

I've had my MD for 2 years. On N52's 325i/328/330 they don't really care. As long as your not going in for something muffler related you'll have no issues. My car has been to a bunch of different dealers too.

Do it. Easy mod and easy on the pocket book. I personally did not care for the sound of the muffler delete alone or the muffler/res delete (tried both) so I went a bit of a different route. Another option for ya.

I had the 100k warranty and I did aftermarket exhaust with resonator delete and they never voided my warranty....and this was a dealer that tried to use every other excuse on the book not to cover other problems in my car. (Westchester BMW)

The shop i go to for all my exhaust work won't touch the cats. Says it a fine for them to cut them out. Federal law is 6k fine per cat, as great as a sound may be not willing to gamble on that lol.

Does that shop know the difference between the cats and a resonator? You might need to find a better exhaust shop.
