83K on car. Car runs great, but sometimes shakes on start up and i get the occasional check engine light every 2 months or so. Hope to replace plugs, all coils at 90K just to keep it running good.

Im at 200k and only had to replace 1 coil. You more than likely need vanos solenoids cleaned or something else going on

Hey man, have you ever replaced your coils? Like in a service or anything? I have one of my coils go at 95k kms and another at 105 000k kms, atm I'm thinking about changin them all

It could be - I got the code read by BMW once in Nov 2013 and it said one of the vanos solenoids.
About a week ago I got a code for a Camshaft position sensor.

I already had to replace one coil and that was because the car was misfiring and shaking violently on idle.

I just did a 100 mile trip and the car had no lights drove great.

141k today! Brake booster toasted around 120 but other than that running pretty good. Random limp mode when it idles for a while and doesn't throw codes which is odd but I have a thread on that. Best car I've ever owned

Almost 143k now. Replacing the front control arms/tension rods (again with m3 stuff) and tie rod ends. Also would like to get the dinan camber plates in there before the track in a couple weeks. Ready for tires before then, going back to pss, they were great.

I need a brake pad sensor. The damn light wont reset. Is there any way to code that thing off there or put a dummy sensor on? I take great care of my car and dont need an idiot light for pads.

No u cant put a dummy sensor in. They are around 20$. It has a 2 stage sensor that trips something inside when it gets to halfway. Its how the computer helps calculate mileage for replacement info in the on board computer.

My car was having similar issues. it ended up being a hole in the crank case ventilation hose. Cost me $165 to get it fixed by a local indie shop.
