prewinter detail
Hello all,
up here in Toronto it is getting pretty cold fast. I drive my car year round and was wondering if I should have it detailed prof before winter for some added protection (wax). I use a spray on wax in the summer after weekly washes. Does wax help at all for protection and if it does would a spray on wax work just as well as something a prof detailer would use? Also, what are the ideal temperatures for the application of wax? I know you are not supposed to add wax on a car that has been sitting out in the sun but does the same rule apply to a really cold car? Thanks. |

definitely worth doing. a lot of our customers come in for our winter package (starting around this time of the year), which includes clay and 2 layers of sealant. Then they come back after winter for a clean up and occasionally through the year for maintenance.

im going to do a pre-winter detail myself probably this weekend. iron-x, clay, and a couple coats of sealant with a coat of wax on top. def need to put some protection on the paint before winter season.
