CF wing mirror caps

Thinking about getting some cf wing mirror covers but realising that I only seem to be able to see them on ebay AND they are only stick on covers that appear to simply go over the existing wing mirror cover.

Anybody know anything about this? Anybody got them on their car? From the pics on ebay the cf pattern / quality looks good but as with all these things its all about the fitment really.

How easy is it to take the OEM wing mirror cover off...my alternative will be to take them off and have them painted.

I was thinking of doing these and a CF lip spoiler but since all I found that was reasonably priced (not changing the whole mirrors) was the same ones you saw - I am leaning towards another route. Buying CF wrap (3M 1080 seems to be the best choice now) and wrapping them myself.

Disadvantages are - that it "may" not look as real as real CF. This is true for ebay as well.
Also removal "may" leave paint residue however 3M suggests this won't happen and I've purchased some goo-gone to make sure it doesn't

Advantages are - cheaper and since I'll be buying one sheet - they will definately match (if you buy from ebay, the rear spoiler may not match the mirrors).

If I end up dong this, I'll post some pics.

Hey gaza01, I went to the local mechanic and saw 1 cover lying on a shelf so i decided to see how it fits (stick on cover). well it fits just right with no extra room, its like fitting a shoe around your leg lol.
That's a cool site and a cheap one too, my friend ships stuff from there and never ran into problems so hopefully I'm shipping my covers from there too.

But what i cant get my head around is how would it look - so facing the mirror, top bit where the cf ends. Would this just be a hard edge or is there a small lip to fit in the groove between the black out ring and mirror cap?

Wrapping will be fine and no glue residue from the wrap.

That's a good point actually...I need to make sure the cf matches whatever other cf I want to put on the car...at the moment its just a front splitter and rear diffuser that I want.

My buddy sold them to me at his cost price and we put them on at his shop a few weeks ago:

This pic was before my CF side mirrors mod and all I have at the moment. Trust me, they blend in very well:
