I wish we could see the engine/electric motor (I forgot which one is where) instead of those damn scooters.

What style wheels does the i8 have, will it be possible to purchase them and is it possible to find out how much they weigh?

Are you asking about purchasing the wheels to put on a current production model BMW? The wheels on the i8 concepts are specifically designed for those concepts as they are large in diameter but very narrow for less rolling resistance. So no, those exact wheels wouldn't fit any other BMW model.

You could try looking for a set of wheels from the 1 series ActiveE. They're similar to those of the i8.

Aren't ActiveE parts Vin-locked?

I believe so, though I'm not sure if that extends to the wheels as well. I know some people have sourced ActiveE hoods to put on their 1M's.

Thank Jason, I will definitely look into it. Wouldn't those also be LRR?
