Yezzirr it should let the heat escape really well and supply some cool air to the DCI. If concerned about water, I'd just pop some K&N filter wraps on.

I was bored so I Photoshopped it quickly (excuse the shoddy work). Plus, John left this hood in my basement and I want it out of there.

Not too bad of a job there. Those vents are just a bit too much for me. Probably stick with stock for now or maybe try the GTR style one. Thanks for the PS pix though.
