330i, very agressive backroad driving (rarely rpm under 3k5, many spikes at 6k5+), 19.5mpg.

When I got my arm severed, I drove like a grandma and did over 25mpg on the same roads.

I used to save on gas by taking whatever is cheap, but I ended up negating the saving with much needed injector cleanup services. So now I use exclusively Chevron and the car is much better off long term.

19-21 around town, 26-29 on the highway for the E92, depending on whether I've got the A/C off and am keeping it under 3K RPM. It's hard to stay under 80 on the Interstates around here unless you want to get run over. Wife's 128i averages 25 MPG commuting to work, which is some local driving and some Interstate driving with occasional traffic delays.

i think my average is 21.xmpg but that's mostly highway driving and then flooring it and driving like an asshole off the highway

but if i get a good flat stretch of highway, going 70-75 i can get 29-32mpg

that's with a GIAC tune and intake, though... don't know if that makes it better

First trip in our new to us 335i. Mostly freeway (300 mile trip) with a fast--dsc kicking in often--back road thrown in. A solid 24 until the back road and around town stuff. Ended up around 22. Not bad considering. Freeway speed was average 75 too.

Not nearly what our old E46 managed, but one hell of alot more fun. Who needs milage anyway??

Ah ha. The six speed manual wins again. We searched hi and low to find a clean used 6-manual E92 that seems to be the difference. Maybe I should have searched harder. If it wasn't for those paddle shifters, I would have waited for the perfect manual.

previous car with 133k miles consistently got 28mpg travelling to work, mostly rural roads and some highway. I noticed that my gas mileage dropped when i had 15mm spacer in the front by almost 2-3 mpg. 21-22 around town.

335is is averaging 24-25 mpg same route, 19 mpg around town. No spacers on the front of this beast...
