Trying to slam e90 xi - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

I'm currently dropped on h&r sport springs for the xi. The rear is good. But the front still has a gap. I was considering going coils but not sure. How do I get the car to sit lower all around? Please comment with some suggestions and nothing like "cut your springs"

I love the kw v3's... I went with the v3's so I can go low but customize the ride quality..

forgot to mention college student budget.

I know this limits a lot due to the small amount of items even available for our xi cars

Ive seen H&R coilovers drop an xi pretty damn low. Wait for cyber Monday, vendors discount products 15-20% (if business is consistent with last year) and you can get these for ~$1000 shipped I'll bet

Yea was looking into the H&R they look reliable. Forgot about cyber monday, will definitely keep an eye out for deals

why do you want to slam a 4x4? but if you must then coilvers are your only choice.

I am in the same boat as the op. Luckily i havent yet pulled the trigger on any springs/coilovers. I have seen NUMEROUS pics of HR sport springs have about an inch higher gap in the front and IMO it is disgusting looking.

I have still not been able to figure out if the Tein S springs will fit an XI coupe and ive been researching for a while now. If this cyber monday really offers huge discounts like that then i will grap some coilovers. When is that anyway?

I have KWv1 on my 330xi sedan and i can tuck the tires when i put it on its lowest setting. Handles like a champ and i think the car should come with thi suspension because it has brought it too life.

yea im on the springs now. the back is tucked the front still has an inch. cyber monday is the monday after black friday which is the day after thanksgiving?

Thats correct. I'll be getting whichever set of Coilovers I end up choosing as well.

Some get AWD for adverse weather conditions... Others for certain performance benefits... Some both... But in AZ, weather related reasons to have raunchy looking/handling clearance with the stock suspension are no longer an issue for me, so I'm excited for an aggressively low drop. Love the look when euros ride low.

Why not try out the lowering perches from Supreme Power for the fronts. Will probably need new strut tops I believe for XI.

User 08msportx3 (or something like that) ended up making the lowering perches work - all he needed was the top mounts from an i model. He posted in the photo thread recently, take a look!

This looks good. I'm sure you have plenty of photos- post more at your convenience if youre willing. How much further did they settle, how long have they been installed and how satisfied are you with the product?

I got sick of trying to figure out what springs and struts so i just ordered KW V1 today. I paid $1350 shipped and then found out that other vendors will sell them for $1250 shipped DAMNIT! Good luck op.

My 328xi sits lower than that with just H&R springs...

My 328xi sits lower than that with just H&R springs...

Damn lucky. Mine is about half an inch higher than this
