Escort 9500ix Mount

I have a 2009 BMW 335i XDrive Coupe and was wondering if you could recommend what type of mount to get. I am tired of the suction cups.

I was looking at these but was wondering what size I would need.

Thanks

Would you mind sending me a pic of your mirror so I can compare it with mine.

Does your mirror happen to look like this. I just want to make sure that I have the correct size before I order and that it will fit.

Thanks,

I have the same one and it fits that mirror. Just be aware that it does restrict the left/right mirror moment a bit.

Thanks,
Yupp that looks about right....it was kinda annoying to get the bracket in there and tighten the screw...but it fits....you do lose your adjustability a bit tho like the guy above said

Yes, that's the one. Here are some pics of it on my car. it looks like they may have redesigned it a bit. Moonsin's looks a little different than mine. The part that attaches to the mirror looks like its longer. Ive had mine for a while.

I mount mine on the passenger-side sun visor - works like a champ and isn't as distracting.

Not sure if they do end up making one, if it would work any better since the mirror stem is so short.

Would that setup not make the visor unusable for the passenger?

Good point and I typically have a passenger so it isn't real practical.

Thanks though

Ok so maybe just buy the current one.

Thanks.

I have mine mounded toward the bottom of left side of the windshield. Does anyone know of any mounts for that location?

Someone on a Porsche forum custom made a mount but I forget what it was made of. I he made it out of metal or maybe even wood. You could always cove your custom mount with some carbon fiber to make it look cool. Personally I am not good with creating things so I will spend the $60.

Yeah, it does restrict the sun visor's movement. Although this is a bit inconvenient, I rarely have passengers in my car during sunrise/sunset for this to be a frequent issue. Because of this, I'd rather deal with the occasional hassle as opposed to having the radar in my face. Worst case - temporarily unplug it if your passenger needs to check her/his makeup .
