Sport Package or Not

I'm looking at a 2009 E92 328 that does not have the sport seats or wheels. The dealer also doesn't have it listed as an option. I'm confused though because when I run the VIN, S704A (M Sports suspension) is listed as an option. Were/are you able to order the sport suspension without ordering the whole package?

704 was an option for suspension only.

e92's have always come with standard sport suspension (except E92 with AWD) regardless of sport pkg.

You don't want the standard seats anyway and the smaller sport steering wheel is better not sure about the wheels!

I have personally never purchased a bmw without the sports package and dont think I ever will. The seats alone make it worth it in my opinion.

^This. The seats are worth the extra cash...as is the steering wheel.

The wheels you can live without...it's the seats that make the difference!

I would get the sports package over and over again just for the seats.

You all confirmed what my gut feeling was.. definitely going to wait it out and find one with the sport package. I agree, the seats are a huge difference, one that you will notice no matter what type of driver you are.

I used to own a 328i without the sports package and I hated the seats from the day I bought the car to the day I got rid of it. The comfort seats are HORRIFIC and were the #1 reason I traded the car after less than 9 months of ownership.

another +1 for sports package.. i can't imagine not having the seats or the suspension.. or the nice fat wheel.

It's simple... we kill the non-sports 3 series.

I'm going against the grain and will say dont worry about the seats. Focus on the suspension. The sport seats are very restrictive if you are a big dude. I hate them...the only sport seats I would buy is in the 5 series. Very comfortable and spacious. That said, I recommend the sport suspension 100%. GL

The seats are fantastic!! Easily one of my favorite features and now a must have. There are lots of things I love about my 2006 330xi but the seats were an unexpected surprise

If you can find one the M-Sport pkg that would even be a plus, might be a little hard to find but if you are not in a rush to buy the car its worth the wait.

I love the sport seats personally, everytime I make a sharp turn, my whole body is planted firmly in the seat. I also like that it can be adjusted to hug you very, very tight. I don't mind the sports suspension on the e90 that much, I have driven both with and without, they make little difference during day to day commutes.
