I live in Florida and in the 80s and up I see 240 to 250 once warmed up and driving in traffic. never gone more than a hair over 250 even with spirited driving with it 90-100 outside. As long as you don't creep much over 250 I wouldn't worry.

cool, i rarely hit 250, I think its in stop and go traffic that i see that, it freaks me out, but if its normal than i wont worry about it. It usually sits around 220-230.

Thank you

Normal if you don't have an IC. W/out the IC 240-250 was my average running temps, with the ets 5" my average is now 220-230.

isn't the intercooler supposed to reduce IAT (intake ambient temperature) not oil temps?

Yes. Intercooler should have nothing to do with oil temps.

Damn that's kind of weird then. Why do you think my average oil temps dropped? Maybe I'm just crazy..... Haha

Intercooler reduces the temp of the intake charge. Oil cooler reduces your oil temps.

I think he meant to say Oil cooler, however, with a factory oil cooler 250 is normal. Really ~245 but who's counting

I don't have an oil cooler in my Pre 03/07 335 with sports package but I rarely ever hit temps above 250... Maybe 255 but that's it

I cruzed COBB S1 Aggressive on an aggressive Drive in the Hills (4 hrs). +- 75 - 80 Deg. outside. 07/07 build with Stock Oil Cooler.

At one point for maybe a few minutes I got to 255 - 260. but once moving fast again went back to 245 - 250. Average 245.

daily commute 230 - 240 PTF Pro-Etune

I think 245 is the normal operating temperature. On long enough drives, I always reach exactly 245.
Rarely do I go over; 100 degrees and a long drive or traffic will cause my oil to reach 250.

Stock thermostat doesn't fully open until 250. Those temps are normal. Stock sport oil cooling is still crap IMHO.
