Bluetooth phone icon not showing up in iDrive - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

In my 2009 E90 LCI, I paired by iPhone 4 to iDrive with no problems. When the phone antenna is on, and syncs with the car, iDrive displayed a little phone icon next to the Sirius logo and signal strength overlay on the nav maps.

Except now it doesn't show that icon anymore, even when the phone is properly joined to the car. The car can make calls, phonebook works, everything looks and feels correct. Just there is no icon on the dash indicating the device is paired.

While I am now running ios6, this problem started showing up while stlil on ios v5.1.1 (I was hoping ios6 fixed it, but it did not).

Anyone else have this problem? Should I report it to my dealer?

Same thing in my 2012...I have never seen the phone icon, so I didn't know it was missing, everything works fine though

I've got an iPhone5

The "phone" icon that you had means you have a missed call. If you don't have any missed calls, you'll only see the signal strength.

If you want that icon back, just don't pick up the next phone call while you're in the car.

Ah ok thanks. And the signal strength is the cellular signal strength, correct?
