Thanks for the info doughboy, didnt realise prices had come down so far! BMW can stick their warranty then!

Too far I'm afraid!

Have you got a garage? Just get yourself a free day, no need to rush it.

Read the instructions fully BEFORE you take the car to bits, then get good lighting, torch or work lights, small tools etc and go for it step by step.

When you've done it once, you'll wonder what all the fuss was about.

Been watching a few videos on youtube, it looks easier on those than on the BMS website pics. Its just knowing which plug goes into which socket that is still a bit confusing.

Just remember the BMS instrucions (and most youtbe vids) will be on left hand drive cars.

So references to 'drivers side' or 'passenger side' (which crop up a lot) are back to front.

The ECU enclosure is on the other side of the car on LHD drive models too (i.e. on the US passenger side), and mounted the opposite way round.

Always use the engine for getting your bearings, as that is identical for RHD or LHD. (ie. exhaust side or intake side)

Hey Idnan,

Sorry OT - I got my ER charge pipe fitted (full chrome polished) at the weekend, along with my old Forge DVs (refurbed after lying in the shed for 18months), set up the springs with a vacuum pump this time.

Looks the dogs I must say, and did the 15ohm mod on the JB4 - now it just hits a solid 18psi dead every time, goes like shoot!

Meth kit here and ready to go, just getting the bits to do a trunk conversion....

Sorry again to thread-jack....

Did you solder the 15 ohm yourself?

What is your trunk mount made up of? Actually, you should start a new thread!!!

Sounds good Mike, I did it the lazy way and just paid for the g5 conversion

Phil I'm finishing my trunk mount off either this or next weekend. I'm using a 2.25 gallon sumped tank which is rather large and reduces the size of the boot but I don't have any space on the sides of my boot above the battery/amplifier.
