I think I've finally done enough to deserve this: My 2007 328xi E90 Build Thread

Now granted maybe I haven't done a ton to this car but I have put a fair bit of money in the past year and would like to share my progress.

When I got the car last february:

First Real Change, Titan Matt Trim:

Small Change to the grill:

Next Major, LCI Headlights:

Next was full front-end LCI conversion:

Next small mod was ECS Geomet No Rust Slotted Rotors (they actually don't rust):

Next was an 80$ Taiwan special spoiler:

Latest - Ditched the 16's for OEM BMW 397 F30 SportLine Rims:

LCI M3 Rep Front coming in 2 weeks

Other Stuff Done:
Waterpump and Thermostat
AC Compressor
All 6 plugs and coils
Power Steering Fluid Flush, Coolant Flush.
Engine and Cabin Air Filter
Valve Cover Gasket

Good job my friend! Those wheels actually look pretty good. Black out the grills to change the front end even more.

Looking good. Just a quick question, how are those rotors performance wise?

Thank you! I've been considering it but I think I'd rather make the slats gloss black and leave the ring chrome, for some reason I like a little bit of chrome. I don't think anyone has taken the gloss black slats and used them with the chrome ring yet.

There was a small performance gain but its mainly for cosmetic purposes since they don't rust.

curious why you went with the stock lci bumper? did you just happen to stumble on it already painted for cheap? I really like the f30 wheels on there. its a subtle design change and they look great on your car. Id recommend some blacklines for the rear! (unless you are going to LCI that too )

Yes thats why but I'm getting an M3 rep in 2 weeks so not to worry!
I was actually thinking of getting the MARS LCI style tails until I find a good package deal on a used trunk in black from a wrecking yard.

Looks good man, great start. How was the trim replacement? I'm 1 year in and finally doing this. Seems pretty basic? Any heads up?

Its very easy. Just be gentle with a flathead screw driver and everything will go just fine. Maybe put some electrical tape on the end of it.

Also be mindful of any of those little blue things coming out of the dash and staying with the trim clips, you'll want to remove them and stick them back in the dash.

Haha true, you should have seen the gap before the suspension settled!

Honestly not sure if a drop is the best idea for the following reasons:

1. Expensive (for an Xi)
2. NY has so many potholes
3. I'm getting an M3 rep and I don't want to make it even easier to bottom it out
4. I'm always scared shitless of messing with anything related to the XDrive system.
