9500 ci install question - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

installing a 9500ci in my 08 e90 tomm, the only thing im having a question on before the install is the radio mute option, anyone familiar with this? any input on this would be great

it mutes the radio for laser and/or radar hits i'm assuming. probably annoying if you get a lot of false alerts. post a pic post install.

its for aftermarket head units... and i had it connected to my DNX9990HD for exactly 24 hours before i pulled my dashboard apart to remove it... its really annoying...

your going to LOVE the 9500ci. awesome radar. wheres your pics?

i had one problem with mine, when i accelerate rapidly, like on the highway to pass it sets off the rear laser. supposedly has to do with 'noisy electrical systems'. i got a power conditioner from escort that i have yet to install...

Most aftermarket radios have a phone 'mute' wire. Though, most OEM radios will mute when the integrated phone is on. I assume it does this through the can-bus.

Any install photos of the interior? Looking for ideas.
