Possible N54 Fuel Pump Upgrade

Came across this interesting news for you high HP guys. Finally some more progress is being made on the N54 fueling system. This is a Walbro F90000267 E85 pump rated at 400LPH @ 80psi and from 800-950hp. As of the last update it's installed and running well.

For current info check out the DIY section on N54tech. Its updated regularly with more current info.

What's the predicted fueling limit given this upgrade--assuming whatever flashes are needed to give more fueling headroom tuning-wise?

Actually, I would say Bosch is generally the industry standard, but yes, Walbro makes great pumps too. They sure are noisy though.

According to Terry this walbro pump is not louder than the oem one.

I was going to say the same thing but thought not to get into a debate. My Walbro 255 did the job for a long time but couldn't keep up like the Bosch 044 (1.8t big turbo application).

However, Walbro makes a well priced product that gets the job done.

I wonder if the pump can keep up with the stock fuel system well above power ratings, as well run 6 high impedance injectors on a secondary fuel rail. I hate to run 2 fuel systems but to get reliable band aid free power this is the route Im looking into. Whats the total flow capacity of the lines with this pump at the 13 volts would that be enough to support 500hp with 93 octane alone.
