Dci Feels Laggy

Hi everyone...

I just installed my Dci and the car feels a little bit laggy when compared to before. Is it entirely possible that I pushed the couplers into the cones too far? Would that make that big of a difference? thankx ahead

I felt the same when I installed mine. But I think it was in my head. The DCI does not offer more low end power. You may feel more top end if at all, but definitely not a mod that makes too much of a difference.

Also I think the sound makes the car feel laggy, because you hear it more but the car is not going any faster...

Probably lost some torque down low... could also be in your head.

DCI is COMPLETELY pointless if you are running at stock boost.

You didn't lose any power. You are removing an intake restriction.

13-14... in map 1 dependent on autotune adjustments...I would guess in the 13.5 range. I will soon have catless dp's and will be running e85 50/50 aggressive mapping so all issues should be solved.

With E85 you will be running a lot more boost so DCIs will help your turbos. I run 20PSI in the midrange so need to reduce intake restrictions as much as possible

Ok OP, are you running the old maps with autotune or are you running aggressive maps? Reason I ask is because the auto tune doesn't work in the new beta aggressive maps.

So, if you didn't reset adaptation after installing the DCI, do so. Any time you install a mod, you need to do a full reset. You also need to log so you can see what your tune is doing with regard to the new mod. If you haven't done any of that, I would highly recommend doing so big boy.
