oil change light has come on... servicing appt is in 2 weeks

My servicing appointment is in two weeks but my light ( oil level light )just came on for my 335i. I was wondering what my options are at this point? Should I just drive with the oil level warning light on for the next two weeks? or do i need to go buy some oil and just top it off before i take it in? And if I do end up buying the oil from the dealership and just use a quart would they be willing to use the rest of the oil to perform my oil change that i provide? or would i have to dish out another $80.

ive noticed that people in canada have to wait a LONG time to get there car in for service, anyway to answer your question, you should be fine for the next 2 weeks as long as you dont drive it a lot and dont drive it hard. just make sure to keep an eye on your oil level just incase.

the oil level is at minimum at this point. So are you saying that is fine? and yeah we do. I once had to wait 3 weeks just to get my check engine light checked... And I drive 150 km a day to school and back. Is that fine?

i had my oil at minimum for about 8 days i didnt drive more than 100 miles (160km) between those 8 days, so since u drive a lot of KM just got to the dealer and buy a quart of oil 7-9$ top it off, and then get an oil change in 2 weeks. would you rather spend 10$ on a quart now, or spend thousands in damage later.

Garage List
I would just top it off with a quart. Under $15...

so my oil level just randomly spiked up to 75 % when i checked it now ... What would cause it to show 75% all of a sudden when less than 3 hours ago it was telling me I need a oil change..
And yeah im going to go buy a quart. Do i have to go to the dealership and buy it from them? ( sorry i'm a noob)

The electronic dipsitick is quirky

Things like extreme temperature, extreme driving or driving on hills can cause it to react
oddly . I take and average of three different measurements on different
drives before I get an average idea of what is in there. After you add some it
takes some time to register to.(more than one drive sometimes)
Motors on these are real expensive so the once a year of every 7500 miles would probably keep you out trouble.
It a good idea to check the level once in while anyway so you can monitor the usage.
If your under warranty its better to use the BMW oil is isn't any
more expensive at dealers that don't gouge than any other oil
about 8 to 9 bucks a quart now.
