SES light.. Sounds like a diesel truck!

Went to start my car, coldstart, it started right up but ran choppy as hell!!! Shaking and car was about to shut off, couldnt hold a idle..
It was about to die but didnt.. sounded like a disel

SES/service engine soon came up , misfire cylinder 5..

i shut off the jb4 (map 0) and cleared the code, started it again and same thing. Ses and misfire cylinder 5.

my exhaust is divorced and the passenger side was smoking and spitting out gasoline!!!

Anyone have any idea, or had this happen to them?

Car seemed to be running fine yesterday.

Engine Coil went out. Mine did the same thing. Sounded like a freakin' V8! I loved the sound, but it scared me half to death to think something was wrong with my car.

same symptoms of issues here- JB4 maybe 30/70 e85/91 7/22 firmware

At first two days ago I thought that I had an exhaust leak because at some point during a drive, I noticed that my car was a lot louder during any throttle condition. Kind of liked that part :-)

Cold starts are pretty damn sorry... car visibly shakes while it almost dies for the first seconds, then it revs itself up to 2000rpm before slowly settling down. Until the car is good and warm, light throttle is obnoxious as hell. If I don't give lots of throttle, the car will struggle hard to figure out how much power to put together... it jerks back and forth between no power and too much at 0-30some percent. When it warms up its fine and I love it.

I haven't seen any SES lights, I'll check for codes tomorrow. Car sounds exactly like its cammed upon starting cold lol

Once warm, it runs "perfectly" so I wasn't too concerned until seeing all of the same symptoms in this thread from a few other people.

swap coils with another cylinder to see if problem moves with the coil. Easiest way to rule out the coil...

Nope, straight 93 octane, no E85...
I changed the plug to #5 to a new one and swapped the coil, and its still SES misfiring #5, so its def the injector, its probabaly stuck open, my exhaust is throwing out gas!

My looks to be an injector, im getting a SES and misfire cylinder 5. new plug and a swapped coil, still SES and misfiring #5, after i cleared the codes.

Yup just finished doing that, put a new plug into #5 and swapped coil #1 to #5, cleared codes, restarted car, then again SES and misfire #5.
So looks to be def injector! Stuck open it seems, exhaust is spitting out gas.

No E85 in the tank, been running only 93 octane straight.

Get the injector from tischer , install it and follow Vasil's DIY to code it properly. A lot of cyl5 misfires lately... hopefully a new injector fixes it for you
