So my car was getting a window regulator replaced at the shop the other day, and the first thing I noticed when picking it up was this:
Son of a B****.... they were only brand spankin new freakin wheels! How hell do you screw my wheel up while fixing a friggin door?? I was furious, but I refrained from going ape sh*t because the dude was giving a huge break with the W.R. because I've had to deal with so much the last 2 weeks with my car.So the question now because I've never attempted to have wheels repaired... Is this something that can even be fixed, and how much??

It's the only thing that I can imagine causing that. I just don't understand how it happened while they had the car?? It's on the drivers side for crying out loud, the easiest side to keep curb rash free.

sucks. but that's easily fixable. cost depends on who/where you get it done, but I'm gonna guess it should be around $75 for that.

yup, easy $75-100 fix. Wash it and forget about it, wheels will get damaged no matter what.

I'll have the shop choose whoever they could find to fix it, have them cut a check or pay however they want, and never return or recommend them to anyone.

They ended up charging me $150 to have a window regulator replaced. Normally over $300.

Actually Walnut Creek, was it Rite-Way Wire & Wheel Specialists that quoted you? I have another guy that does it $75 a wheel I think, his name is Kris from Curbside Wheel Repair (925) 596-5603. He's mobile so he can go to you. I've used him 3 times on my BMW and Benz.

He might've helped you out on your window regulator... but he still curbed your wheel

225's on a 8.5. Not really stretched at all, just the angle.

I know exactly how you feel.
A couple of months ago I took my dad's brand new 335i M-Sport to get it checked because a yellow warning light came on. The dealer fixed whatever it was but when I picked it up I stopped at a gas station on my way back, and while I'm standing outside I look at the front driver's side wheel (193 spyder) and there was a 2inch long BAD curb rash on it! The car had 600mi and the dealer tried to blame it on us even though they inspected the car before taking it in!! |

I always take time and inspect my car all around and specially the wheels. If you catch anything right there, you are covered. |

anyway, this looks like more of a cosmetic damage. As someone said above, wash it and forget about it, trust me you will not notice it after few weeks. You don't need to spend money on this. Rest is up to you. |
