Hey guys,
I just got my BMW Performance Exhaust installed today. I was wondering about if I should sell the stock exhaust now and sell the car later with the Performance Exhaust, or if I should keep the stock and put it back on for $200 when I sell the car and sell the Performance Exhaust separate. To me it seems like I should just sell the stock exhaust now and sell the car later with the BMW Performance Exhaust later. I think the fact that it's from BMW and not Dinan or Eisenmann or something would actually help selling the car, because it doesn't seem like a strongly modified car. Thanks for comments on that! |

Why would you pay $200 to put the stock exhaust back on? It's a couple bolts and a few hangers. The hard part is cutting the stock exhaust in the first place to install the PE.
Ultimately, a stock exhaust is worth little more than scrap value at best. It's not like they rot out, what little demand there is is due to accidents. The way to maximize revenue is to sell the car with the stock exhaust, then sell the used PE.
