Painted $59 spoiler and $149 LCI splitters, free shipping
I picked up the $59 spoiler first from ebay seller emotors2000 (as seen elsewhere on this forum), and was impressed with the paint and fit, so when the seller listed the LCI splitters, painted and delivered for $149, I bit the bullet. It took a bit longer to ship, because the seller had to paint (about a week to paint, and three days to ship from Taiwan to Chicago). The quality is impressive, and at this price, it’s a bargain. The e-bay seller is legit, and kept me up to date on the status of the order. Like the spoiler, the paint is a very, very close match (in BSM), and there are no blemishes. The fit is perfect – no bending or flexing required to get these in place. The splitters came with a roll of adhesive (1/2" by 5 ft), and I reused the stock screws. I took the pictures with my phone, so they’re not that great.
My Apex EC-7 wheels are arriving soon. I'll take some pics with a real camera after I mount them. Link to emotors2000 storefront: http://stores.ebay.com/emotors2000 Last edited by jck996; 10-23-2012 at 08:25 PM. |

thanks for following up with pics! Hopefully the MBM paint is as close of a match that my spoiler from him is. Glad to see the fitment is spot on. Where did you apply the tape?

I applied the tape about 3 mm away from the edge of the inside of the splitters, all along the top and sides. I also added two strips along the inside line that bisects the side of the splitter (the part that flares out a bit to match the contour of the side of the bumper cover). Before I did that, where there were a couple spots that didn't feel completely smooth, I sanded a bit and cleaned the inside with an alcohol swab before attaching the tape. I didn't tape the bottom of the splitters, as it's held in place by the screws. I then duct taped the splitters to the front bumper cover, and let them sit in the sun for 2 days. They're not coming off. I didn't want to use betalink to make sure I could get these off later on. No issues with the tape causing gaps between the splitter and bumper cover -- very nice fit.

Nice, Ive been looking for the front splitters recently and its been working out twice as much for them plus painting. Nice find!
I assume the quality on them is good is it? What kind of material are they made of? i.e. will they stand up to a knock on a speed bump or do they feel like they'd shatter? |
