BMW 335i VS. Porsche Carrera S. Take Two
Hey everyone, about 2 weeks ago i did some videos with a blue Carrera S. I did another one with a different, Red Carrera S. Same Specs, auto gearbox. Hes stock, im PROceded. Two races from 40-200 and from 20-200 kilometers. Plus lights, A/C, whatever is all off. Enjoy, Comments and questions welcome I get engine Malfunction/Fault when the temp outside is over 100 degrees F, it was 114 degrees F.
This is the one with 40-200. I get Engine Fault/Malfunction: http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...15462779&hl=en This is the one with 20-200, he gets a jump start: http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...30663493563441

did anyone run against AMG? i race my cousin's E63 and my buddy's SLK55 and get whooped with my G35 all the time, and i keep doing it, and keep getting whooped.
I wonder if that'll change with the 335 with or without Procede |

Nice work Kapoo! The guy in the CS is feeling like a bitch.
Hey, do you have any other pics of your car? I ordered the same colors and am also wanting to tint the windows. The car should arrive in 3 weeks. |

Nice videos...great kill on the Porsche Carrera S!!! btw -- did you actually go into limp mode (1/2 engine light, engine malfunction, reduced power) b/c from the videos, it surely didn't seem like your car let up at all (you kept on gaining CLs ahead of the Porsche even after the engine light popped up)????
Also, it's interesting that you run in DS and not M1 - M6 with the paddle shifters; I've heard that sometimes in DS, it shifts too early (or too late)...you may want to try M mode.

All the more impressive since you had a cameraman in the car.

Great video. Is your car OK?, what was all that thick black smoke after the run?I can only assume the car went to a limp/safe mode and changed the AFR to 9-1 or something.
Anyway, thanks for sharing the videos, we all love your car videos. |

You never let us know about your engine malfunction light...did you actually go into limp mode or what? Your videos of you pulling way ahead of the 911 S would say otherwise, but why did the 1/2 engine light come on and did you lose power at all?

Nice kill
Are you sure that you guys raced until you hit 200 kph (125 mph)? It only takes 17-18 seconds for a Porsche Carrera S to hit 125 mph from stop. It took both of you 25-27 secs to go from 25 to 125mph (40- 200 kmh). |

I think i went in to Limp mode, cause i was like kicking down. I removed and kicked down, it felt like i had 2 cylinders or something. It happens alot with me in the heat. Since its summer in kuwait the normal temp is like 105F Anytime though its under 100 i never get Engine Malfunction/Fault.

Well if you think about it, it depends on various factors. Such as the tires grip, weather, (114 degrees F at the time) Also when i went in to limp mode we slowed down a bit. So i think thats probably why..
