costs of maintenance for bmw?
so i'm deciding between the new bmw 325i or a g35 coupe. yeah I know they are sedan vs coupe and european vs japanese. I just happen to like both and want to trade my prelude in and then finance the rest.
The extra 65HP in the g35 i don't really care for, just like the looks and it being a coupe. Both are similar price here iN Canada after negotiations. I just want to know which would be cheaper to own overall throughout the years of maintenance. My friend just had his bmw 320 brakes replaced after owning it for 1.5 yrs and it cost $450CAD Ideas? |

According to US edmunds website review, for a 2005 (they don't have data for the 2006 yet). It cost 74 cents per mile on a BMW 325i 2005, and it cost the G35 65 cents per mile.

The biggest cost of car ownership is depreciation. I don't know what kind of resale an Infiniti will have after a number of years, but BMWs have proven to retain their value much better than most cars. Would probably be a good idea to check resale values on the two brands by looking at classified ads. For example, if you expect to own a car 4 years look at ads of cars four years old and compare that with the MSRP of that car when it was new.
Also, does BMW Canada pay for maintenance? In the US they pay for everything but the tires for four years and 50,000 miles and it sounds like the program in South Africa is even better. |

yeah the canada have free maintenance as well
the g35 came out in 2003 and they are maintaining their price very well same with the bmws......but then since the g35 came out for 2 yrs already, in a few yrs it probably outdated the new 3 series just came out, so probably be looking good for next few years ![]() |

I just sold my 2003 G35 Coupe for $26,000 - it cost $35,000 30 months ago. I think that is holding its value pretty well.
I sold the G35 to buy a 330i. Formerly, I owned a 328i and then a 540i. I sold the 540i to buy the G35 Coupe. After 30 months I had to get back into a BMW. There is really no comparison in how they drive. |

My Car is a HYBRID! It burns gas and rubber.

Fusion is that cent per mile correct? That means it cost you $7,400 for every 10,000 miles you own the Bimmer. That sounds like alot. Does that include fuel/maint/depreciation/cost of car/?
