ar design issue

hey guys, e92 335i here. anyone else have the issue of the ar design downpipe rubbing along part of the body/undercarriage when turning? had my tech try to adjust it but it always finds it way back, rubbing. i was thinking to add something to the area where it rubs to reduce the noise, it's pretty loud when turning left

Try again with the adjustment: that usually fixes the problem. Disconnect the rear flanges, loosen the clamps and twist. You should find a happy place with the AR pipes, their fitment is usually very good. If you really can't, check your motor mounts before giving up on them.

I would go back and have it re-adjusted like Eric mentioned above. The ar pipes are probably the best fitting pipes on the market so you should not have to live with any issues. You can always email Andrew @ ar design as he is pretty responsive and can offer your shop some pointers on how to install it properly.

Make sure you have them adjust the midpipe hanger's lateral support. This will allow you to move the pipes from side to side to clear whatever is making contact.

This generally resolves any rubbing issues when re-clocking doesn't work
