WOW, the NEW one MSRP with those options is $45,225. Unless you're forgetting to include the NAV and some major options, he's asking about $5k too much...

But good luck with the sale...

Well it does come with a moon roof and power seats...... It always bothers me when I see cars for sale and the person lists the standard options.

I was thinking the same thing. I noticed people who are selling these car tend to try to get what they paid for.. Drive it for 6 months and sell it for what they paid for it. Free lease, rent, whatever you call it.

It is, afterall, just a car... abeit a nice one.

Yep, you still pay taxes, although you do save a little bit. The used car sales tax in MA is 5%, which Im pretty sure is lower than when buying a brand new car. I have no clue how it is in other states.

Sales tax is 8.25% in many parts of California... doesn't matter if its a new or used car.

Sales tax...

Sales tax is a matter of state law. Here in Georgia, state law provides for no sales tax between a private buyer and seller. Thus, for cars in this price range I stand to save about $3000 buying from a private individual vice a dealership.

Most states do not follow the Georgia practice; sales tax is imposed on the transaction regardless whether the seller is a dealership or a private individual.

opposite in other states, you get hit full tilt on private party, and on stealers, you pay only the difference between your trade and the selling price.
what a scam, but you gotta pay for the roads i guess...

clean car.
