Bmwhat: Amber Light Delete

Hey I just purchased the bmwhat app and wifi adapter and I wanted to see if anyone figured out how to code out the amber lights in the head lights? If so, which options did you have to select?

There have been a few threads on this. Those little amber lights cannot be coded out. You have to physically go inside the light and cut the wires.

I have had someone code them out using their laptop before so I know it's possible. I just can't seem to figure out how to do it with bmwhat.

That's because you're not searching hard enough:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=589215

I tried the same thing via BMWhat via iPhone and it didn't work on my particular car. Contacted the developers of the app and they said it should work via cable + Android though.

I eventually just ended up doing it through NCSExpert via NCSDummy.

Hate to bump an old thread, but did you figure it out? It's possible via laptop & cable. It was tricky, but we got it done.

No I ended up having it coded out with a laptop. Bmwhat hasn't been updated in several months so hopefully they will add that feature eventually.

The corner amber lights you can code out, very easily and the BMWhat app has been updated 3 times in the last 2 weeks. Its the little Led's in the corner that you can not remove yet.

Ya.... that's what we're talking about. Those cannot be turned all the way off while the car is running using bmwhat. The App Store says it was last updated July 2014. What are you talking about?

I assure you they can be shut down 100% with the app. The app in the Google App store states last update was 01/19/2015. Are you using Iphone maybe?

I just checked my car, its under FRM "corner delete mod" If I had an extra person I would take a video of it doing it live.

I've tried that on an E92 pre-lci 335i and lci E90 335i and it does not work. It dims the light at the most but it is still on. The only way I was able to completely turn it off is through a laptop.

Aren't those corner lights legally required in US?

My brother pulled the pins and disconnected the blue/black wires and green/black wires (check YouTube for the video where the kid cut them to be sure of the wires)

It's a connector pin where using something long and thin can be pressed to disengage the wires without cutting them.

Its under side marker, just choose disable and they are gone. The small leds, you can turn off as well now. It is under corner delete mod, again select disable and they go away.
