just curious what happen?

i was at a red light, then when i pushed on the gas this it what happen.

the symbol came on but turned off right away.

it was raining and i only had about 40miles left on the tank.

car seems normal.

Traction control.... Your car slipped and the TC kicked in...

does the traction control explain the knock sound when I pushed the gas?

That could've been the sound of your wheels losing power and coming suddenly to a stop as the traction control kicked in.

Is this your first BMW, and if so, how long have you owned it?

Traction control cuts power, can provoke driveline lash, that's noisy.

Its traction control don't worry about it just drive more safe and check tires.
