New wheels with TPMS

Just picked up a new set of wheels and they are already equipped with tires and TPMS. My question is, how does it work? Will they automatically sync up with my car or is there coding.

The wheels came from another BMW if that help.

You'd have to check what vehicles the tpms are compatible with. What vehicle did the wheels come off?

You know what years? LCI, Pre-LCI? It appears E9x requires 433MHz tpms. That's the frequency, but actual sensors may be different.

Not positive what year m3. I'll assume pre-lci since the wheels were purchased by the previous owner a while back and my car is a 2007.

Pre-LCI E92 M3 use the same sensors as Pre-LCI E90 Non-M according to TR. There's a good chance they'll work. Please refer to your owner's manual on how to re-sync tpms.
