EASTCHESTER / SCARSDALE Court Date - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

I got a speeding ticket for 50 in a 35 in the Town of Eastchester, NY, which is basically part of Scarsdale. The court date is on Wednesday.

I have never been to traffic court. I have no clue what i'm doing.

I am fighting the ticket because I feel the ticket is BS. I was passing a bus, which had invaded my lane and increased my speed to get out of his way.

I don't think I should have to pay anything, but i'd agree to drop the points and just pay the appropriate fine. My license is clean except for "Illegal Left Turn" about 6 months back.

Anybody have experience with this court?
Any advice?

talk to prosecutor; explain situation. be VERY NICE, otherwise they could fuck you over. tell them your story and explain your driving record. usually they will give you no points but $400 fine.

If you don't want points, the best advice is to get yourself a lawyer who does this thing everyday. It's better to pay him once than to take a chance and screw things up and pay your insurance company for higher rates for the next 5 years.
