What's the best way to polish my step lips they have water spots, oxidation and lost some shine. What over the counter products can I buy.

I heard a TINY bit of vinegar works for water marks.
Polishing... I'd just buy some nice wheel wax. I hate step lips. I'm never buying one again. Too much work. LOL

blue magic metal polish and some microfiber towels. Usually available over the counter at your local parts store.

What about a very fine wet sand then using the blue magic ?

I'd leave wetsanding as a last resort.

Always go with the least invasive method, and work your way up the totem pole.

Research on autogeek.net/autopia.org, you'll find all the answers to your questions there--but in short: vinegar > metal polish via MF > metal polish via powerball > wetsanding
