doesn't make much sense sir.. you look down, oh hey look at the mileage, pull your phone out and snap a photo, all in less than about 10 seconds, I don't consider having 10 seconds to spare having too much time on* one's hands...

Yes OP, I snaped 22,222 last week

Every single number is unique. It represents the history of your vehicle. You should take pictures of every single one of them.

I've usually avoided watching the mileage on my car creep up since I bought it a couple years back. I'm not even sure where I stand now, it's definitely in the high forties. I'll snap a pic at 50 if i don't pass it accidently

People do this all the time. Roundel magazine (BMWCCA) has had reader-submitted odometer photos almost every month lately. The trick is to set the trip odo ahead of time so it lines up for displays like

123456 789.0

111111 111.1

etc.

My E46 is coming up on 66xxx miles but I missed the chance to set the trip odo to get all 6s :/

I do this a lot, but I never get around to uploading them. I should hit 44,444 in the next few weeks.

Last June I pulled into the driveway and noticed that both my mileage and odometer contained 666 and about 30 minutes later a huge hailstorm hit and caused $15k in damage to my car. Spooky! haha
