Question: If someone were to replace this in their car it wont replace their odometer to 6kms would it? I think the odometer was saved to the computer

It will replace the km's with the cars current mileage stored on the ECU.

The problem with swapping clusters, at least in the E46's case is that the traction module and ABS will no longer work and illuminate those lamps in the new cluster. The only way to get rid of those lamps is to have it programmed.

Unfortunately the dealer will not program used clusters so its a huge waste of time.

Why would the abs and traction control no longer work just because replacing the cluster. I will verify this with my mechanic tomorrow but I think this is false.
