Problem with steptronic - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

I got 2006 e90 330i. My at transmission works just fine , but when i switch it to manual mode , i can do a reduction by moving gear leveler to "-" but when im pushing it to "+" to gear up , nothing happens.

Any ideas?

Look in the DIY section, there is one with a fix for a broken wire by the gear shifter...

You have a frayed wire.

yeah easy fix. I had the same issue and after doing search here I was able to fix mine.

WINNING !

i took that shit apart and found 2 totaly broken wires. took me and hour to get it done .
