I would like to go with Dinan but I compare the cost of a stage 2 to a Cobb and I can't see paying so much more.

I have the Ingen CAI and the COBB. There is a definite difference (even with the lightly modded maps). I just invested in these mods the last three months. The kick in the pants is fun but not crazy different. I will tell you that this week my car was going to dealer for winter tires and rims and while they probably would have no reason to plug in, I uninstalled the COBB anyway. There is no doubt of the power difference but I was surprised at how much smoother everything is stock. I did not really think COBB was "rough" but I had convinced myself it was smooth....as much power difference as I feel, I think the difference in smoothness is equal. I am considering keeping stock tune through winter and deciding if the kick is really worth it.........

Hey thanks for that info. I don't want to go over the top with money and performance. I wish I could feel the difference before I drop the cash so I can tell for myself if its worth the money.

I am sure if you get on your regional forum someone would be happy to give you a roll in their tuned car. I can tell you after spending 230 miles in my car today.....I miss my tune. I still don't know if I will re-install while I have my winter tires installed. I miss my Pilot Super Sports too.....Might be just my imagination but the car feels so much heavier with the Blizz tires on it. Steering is much less precise, I gotta move away from the freaking winter...,..

The whole car feels slower and heavier in the winter.

Every drivers different. If they will be responsible then a fast cars fine, if you have a doubt that it might not be a good idea... Give them a ford excursion.


And to stay on top. Mod the car.

Yes, mod makes it fun to drive. It may lose some years, but regular maintenance will help and who knows, you might even maintain it better knowing you have mods.
